For the CTS Cremerius-Transport-Service GmbH, it all began in the tiny gatehouse of a former steel manufacturing unit. In 1992, Rainer Cremerius founded this company in the south of Duisburg as a truck-based forwarding company for the transportation of all kinds of steels.
Since then the company has grown and now has a tri-modal logistics centre in the Parallel Port of Duisburg and employs about 90 employees across Germany at three locations.

The geographical location of Duisburg, at the heart of Europe, guarantees optimal distances from the loading point to the destination. As Duisburg is located directly beside the Rhine and in the Ruhr, it is a logistics centre and, through that, it provides optimal connections to the road, rail and waterways networks.
The German motorways, the A3, A40, A42, A57 and A59 are all very close and can be reached in just a few minutes.
Our Logistics Centre in Duisburg’s Parallel Harbour has a total area of 25,000 m². The covered and partly heated storage area of 12,500 m² is sub-divided into five halls.
Our hall, which extends over the water, and our own rail siding allow for tri-modal handling of goods with piece weights of up to 40 toms. Our annual turnover volume runs to about 600,000 tons at the Duisburg location.
